I’m lucky enough to live close to Exmoor and the Quantocks hills. The land is exceptional; wild and free, lots of paths to take, and you always see gorgeous ponies around. I’d seen some ponies in the distance, against the backdrop of that golden warm evening light. I was wishing I could be closer to them to take some Somerset landscape photos with the ponies in. I carried on walking and all of a sudden over the hill, and right in front of me, 6 ponies running past me. They’re so magnificent!
Each time I visit Exmoor and the Quantocks for landscape photography it’s just like being transported somewhere else. It’s always different too.
